Greg's parents have a big house with big front & backyard! When we got there, Nikki let me off the car and told me to do my business at the front yard. I was too excited for that; instead, I was sniffing every inch of the yard and eventually got in trouble... I wanted to go to the backyard because I sensed another dog there. But mean humans wouldn't let me visit. Maybe later...
Saturday morning was the Popwarner football practice. Dad has been a coach for a long time, and the whole family is involved deeply in it. The boys used to play when they were younger, and now they are all coaches. And now Greg's nephews are playing! One of the reasons for our visit was to see Joseph and JJ's game on Sunday. During the practice, I enjoyed the sun and the fresh air... Soooo nice..... I also met a tiny puppy! So cute!!! She was probably just about 8 weeks! Nikki wanted to take her home in her purse, and I wish she did!
Saturday afternoon, we went to the Castle Park with Selena, JJ & Stacy. It was like a fun fair with many rides & music, and of course lots & lots of people!!! Mom found a coupon for us, so it was only $8/person for unlimited rides! You bet Nikki loved that! While Nikki went on rides, I stayed with Stacy who didn't care for them. People laughed at me because I did a little 'happy dance' every time Nikki came back to me! After many rides and walking around, people got hungry and decided to get snacks. While we were in line for food, many people came up to pet me. Some people asked if they could pet me, and others just came along and said hi. I loved it! JJ is such a smart 8-year-old; he said to Nikki, "Next time they ask to pet Coral, you should tell them 5 bucks!" Hey, I love the idea! We'd be rich!!! Guiding in the amusement park was hard! It was an open space with people going in all kinds of directions! There were tons of distractions too! I know people were trying to be helpful by warning Nikki about the stairs and stuff way too soon, and that was very confusing... I blew curbs a couple times and had to rework. We didn't leave the park till 8 at night! That meant no dinner for me till something like 8:45!!! I was not a happy camper...
Sunday was the game day. We went to see Joseph's game at 9am, then pizza party, then JJ's game at 1pm. It was super windy and cold, so Greg, Nikki & I stayed in the car most of the time and watched the game from the car! Both Joseph and JJ's teams won:)
Since Nikki was off on Monday, Mom & Dad gave us a ride to San Diego on Monday afternoon. Before this weekend, I'd never ridden in a car so much! You know, I'm a bus dog! Wherever we go in San Diego, we have to take public transportation because nobody in our house drives! But we got in a car to everywhere this weekend!!! I'm not quite sure if I like the car ride though. Since I don't have the seat privilege, I'm cramped in a tiny space... And the doggie in the backyard of Greg's parents. His name is Zoos, a 7-year-old German Shepherd. I did get to meet him, but couldn't make friends with him. For some reason, Zoos wasn't feeling sociable this time. Maybe next time...
