Spiced-up Commute!

Happy Saturday to Everyone!

It must be weekend! I didn't get to eat till 8:30 or so this morning...:> And after breakfast, I had to do my Biz Run immediately!!! You know what I mean!!! Tough to accommodate ever-changing human routines...

This past week was rather boring; same rout to and from work, occasional Target/Ralph's trip, etc, etc... However, our commute for the last few days were spiced up! GDB instructors out there setting this up???

BARKING DOG & MOVING BARRICADE
One day we were walking home, I heard a barking dog! You know my weakness! When I see another dog, my friendly nature takes over. But it's a no-no in harness! I know better after several corrections... So my latest strategy to avoid correction is to pass as fast as I can when I see other dogs! It usually works well, and Nikki's happy. However, this time I couldn't go fast because there was an obstacle right in front of us! I couldn't go around because the sidewalk was too narrow, and I couldn't quite show it to Nikki either because it kept moving slowly... What was the obstacle? 2 big guys walking slowly, talking away... They didn't hear Nikki's "Excuse me." So we had to just follow them to the next block while a dog was barking at me!!! FRUSTRATING...

COFFEE MESS ON THE BUS
We got on the bus to work. It was kind of crowded, but someone gave us a seat. As usual, Nikki told me to go down under the seat. But there was a big mess on the floor!!! I didn't want to lay in that mess, so I resisted as much as possible, but finally I gave in and obeyed... Then a lady across from us told Nikki, "You know there's a big coffee spill under your dog!" See! that's why I didn't want to go down... Wish that lady said something sooner... Moral here: LISTEN TO YOUR GUIDE DOG! Nikki was panished by having to clean the coffee mess on my paws and belly! HaHaHa...

WHEELCHAIR LIFT ON TROLLEY
One morning, this train operator insisted on us using the wheelchair lift when getting off the trolley. Nikki told him that we can do steps fine, but no success! Finally she agreed to do the lift, which was scarier than steps! This was an old train. The lift came up and stopped in the air in front of us. Nikki told me "Forward!" Are you nots? The thing is hanging in the air!!! I wouldn't move, and she was too scared herself to heel me because she wasn't so sure how far this lift went out. She finally coaxed me to go, and we both got on the lift. I've seen Greg use this many times! But I don't think this is made for walking human and a dog!!! I was so happy when we were off to the ground...

Well, that was kind of an update of my last week commute! Hope everyone's enjoying your weekend:)

Nikki,
Feel free to link to me too. :) The more I think about it the more okay I am with Spankys potential cc. A. A graduate is saved from getting his aweful name for at least another two years. and B. I don't think he would be happy as a guide. His future is up to him and I am so proud of the progress he has made. Thanks! :)

Hi Coral!! This is Becky's daughter Natalie again!

I work for MTS, the bus and trolley company! I'm excited to learn that you ride it -- let me know if there's any struggles!

Hi Natalie,

Yes, we (including my hubby) ride on buses & trolleys every single day!!! In fact, we don't have a car anymore!!! Do you work in the marketing dept? I often talk to the marketing people at MTS for my job. Maybe we will run into each other soon! Or even better, we will get together when Becky comes in town?!?!
