Since I was left at home while Nikki went to wash clothes, I did some search on Sage, the Padres dog! What I found was a sad story...
Sage was not just a mascot dog for the baseball team, but he was a service dog to the Padres Disability Services Coordinator. Why do I say was instead of is? Because Sage's owner passed away very suddenly about 3 weeks ago! Nikki has never met him in person, but she used to talk with him on the phone on behalf of her boss. I feel very, very sorry for Sage. What a shock and how sad to lose your partner that way so quickly...

Oh how sad! Poor Sage. Of course, Sage is dear to my heart since I just lost my Sage a few weeks ago.

My friend works for the Padres and she said that Sage was adopted by the Padres. So he has a nice plush home!
