Last Sunday, we brave the chill and windy weather (in San Diego standard) and went to the Charger game. It was a must-win game for San Diego in order to stay in the division race. So the stadium was packed with Charger fans and some Kansas City fans! Greg & Nikki had their Charger gears on, and his wheelchair was deced up too! Nikki also turned me into a cheer leader by putting a gold pom-pom on my harness!!!
We took a crowded trolley to the stadium. Before going in, Greg & Nikki had Subway sandwich that they had picked up on the way. It was so windy that everything was flying everywhere! I wished for a piece of ham or something would fly away from their sandwiches to me, but no such luck... After lunch, we had to stand in a long line to actually get into the stadium! At first, I tried so hard to lead Nikki to the front, but finally I got the concept of respecting the line for the moment! Maybe because people wanted to pet me and stuff:)
By the time we finally got to our seats, the Chargers were trailing one touchdown! But everyone was cheering so loud!!! Nikki couldn't see the game, so she kind of cheered with the crowd. Good thing that we were surrounded by Charger fans!
Nikki thinks that it was the Pom-pom, but I think it was my cuteness! When I was just laying down between Nikki's seat and Greg's wheelchair, people started taking a lot of pictures of me! According to Greg, they were taking pictures and looking at me like they had never seen a dog!!! Whenever Nikki went to the restroom, people let her go to the front of the long line because "they liked the DOG!" And when we did stay in line, I got a lot of petting and admiration! I loved it!!!
To avoid a super crowded trolley, we left the game early. Chargers were up 7 points, so we were sort of on the safe side... However, on the trolley, people with radios were updating the ongoing game! It was a real heart attack moment! But in the end, God finally smiled at the Chargers! They won the game only by 1 point!!!

Yeah - that was a sad moment - but alas, the Chiefs continued their losing streak!!!! Boooo hoooo. :) Glad you had fun... If I knew you were there I would have watched with my eyes open instead of with my hands covering my face in shame! :)
Oh Lisa... This time, it worked out for Chargers, but it sure was a heart attack moment! You know they've lost so many games at the last second this season! What's up with that!!!
