Nikki talked to her best friend Mayumi the other day!
It was a sad day for Mayumi because she had to retire her guide dog Quirie. They were together for 10+ years!!! Quirie went back to her puppy home to enjoy her retirement!
Mayumi is reluctant to leave her small children for 3 weeks for her retrain. So she is waiting for her school to arrange an in-home training with a new dog. However, it is going to be the school's first case of in-home training! She may be dogieless for a while... Does any of you pups wanna go to Japan and work with Mayumi? (smile)

Sending love to Mayumi ... retiring your guide is a hard part of the journey! I went six (long) months without my next guide, Cricket. Hope the inhome training goes well.
