Yes, yes, yes, ... I know, I know; we guide dogs are not supposed to play the game of "keepaway" because that would mess up our "recall" (or whatever in human term!)
But that was my favorite game when I was a puppy, and guess what! I have found someone to play Keepaway with without getting in trouble with our college rule! Sure, we can't play the game with humans, but no one has said that we can't with other dogs! So I steal whatever toys from Banzai & run away with it! He goes nuts & starts chasing me!! HaHa just the way I like it!!! Having a little step bro is often annoying, but there are times that work like a charm!

- Hi! Very pleased to meet you! I am a yellow lab guide dog from the Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) in San Rafael, CA. My birthday is April 4, 2006 just in case you want to send me a b-day kibble cake or toys! (WAGS) Shortly after I was born, I said bye to my mom & dad and went to live with my puppy raisers, Kathi & Karli. Then when I thought they were the best people to play with, they sent me off to the GDB Doggie College, where I was formally trained to be a guide dog. Now I live in San Diego with my partner Nikki, her hubby Greg & my step brother Banzai, the lil psycho pup! My favorite time of the day? Dinner time, of course, & playtime!

Keep away is FUN. I love to do it with Cuzzie. Problem is when I turn my head for Dad to scritch my head, that darn Cuzzie, steals my bone. I give her a stern look, but she's too growl-y, so I stay away. She's an old lady, you know, about 56 years old. That's OLD.
When we play Kong, there is no way Cuzzie going to get that little jewel. I make sure she does not get that one. I'll share the bone though.

Ahhh Coral, that was Chappelle's favorite game as a puppy as well! Now that he's CC'd, he likes to try and play it with Spike. Spike knows better though. ;)

Yeah, everyone loves keepaway:) Just now, I was trying to play it with my office buddy, Jake! Jake is a big service dog for Joe, Nikki's coworker. But he's a gentleman (just like U Zane!) He lets me have whatever I steal from him! Maybe he's Older & wiser... Spike, you're so smart not to play the game! You will be an awsam guide dog!!!
